Operations Graduate Program – Logistics Sustainability Developer
If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group’s global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several “on-the-job” rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.
Position - Logistic Sustainability Developer
Production Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations. We are an organization of approximately 700 employees, globally connected to deliver logistics solutions with world class operational excellence. We ensure that transportation is purchased, packaging is made available at our suppliers, material is transported to our production facilities, and vehicles are distributed to our customers on time. We design and optimize the Production Logistics supply chain for the Volvo Group, prepare logistics for new products and drive the Sales & Operations Planning process. End to End Production Logistics is an international team of 7 people that drives the supply chain strategy, digitalization, analytics, sustainability and quality throughout the production supply chain organization. This is the place where you can make a difference if you have the right mindset.
Your main activities and responsibilities:
You will support the Logistic Sustainability Manager with initiating and driving initiatives that are supporting our ambitious target of becoming the world’s most sustainable transport system by 2025. The initiatives will likely be connected to reducing transport demand, optimize transportation and optimizing fleet efficiency. New digital technologies, analytics and strong internal and external network together with an innovative mindset will be important assets to succeed in the position.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A MSc in supply chain and/or logistics
Strong knowledge in sustainability
Strong digital and analytical interest
Basic Qlik’s view / sense script development knowledge
Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation
Solid English skills
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
